Well, in that case: Hohner Limited Edition HG 310, nicknamed "Evelyn". Ryanhoots, I'm not sure of how many Hohner guitars were being produced annually but obviously yours was built prior to '78. Unfortunately Hohner didn't keep a record of their serial numbers so the best one can do is guesstimate.

Parts from other guitars would be used in the making of a particular badge for a period of time because it was all the manufacturer had to hand...which doesn't always help in identifying a maker.

This page is a work in progress and as new information is revealed it will be added to the list.

If its that same line of guitars it'll be better than any 0..maybe 0 at Guitar Center. __________________ It appears as if the signature's sole purpose is to advertise your guitars' awesomeness. I'm really optimistic about it right now, and it would take a lot for me to not want to buy it. I want this guitar to play it, not hang it on a wall. __________________ It appears as if the signature's sole purpose is to advertise your guitars' awesomeness. It sounds amazing, much richer tone than the Ibanez that I'm used to. It's a Hohner HG 310 Limited Edition, made in Japan. Well, in that case: Hohner Limited Edition HG 310, nicknamed "Evelyn". Acoustics: Martins 1936 00-18, 1958 00-28G, 000-18GE, OM-1, J12-65, B-65, Olson SJ, Dobro Duolian Electrics: Callaham S-model, Sadowsky Vintage P/J bass, Gibson '58 Historic Les Paul, Gibson '59 Historic ES-335, Afri-Can Art: Ryanhoots, Congrats! It is basically my guitar with less bling and a two piece back instead of the 3 piece back on the HG-320. PM me your email address and I'll send you a PDF of the 1978 catalogue with the HG-310 specs. HG-310 were being made from the early-mid '70's-yearly '80's. I'm really getting excited now, this guitar keeps getting better and better.

People often make the mistake of citing the American or European importer as the 'maker' of the guitar, when in fact several Japanese manufacturers were producing badged guitars out of their plants and shipping them to America and Europe to sell.Luckily, dating a Rhodes is extremely simple and can usually be determined within the precise week that it was ‘born.’ If you lift up the vinyl lid of your Rhodes you will find that there is a four digit stamp (red, blue, or black depending on the year) that will tell you what week of what year your Rhodes is from.As you can see, the numbering scheme was consistent from the first Mark I in 1969, through the Mark II’s of the early ’80’s and on to the Mark V of 1984.I'm happy your's is proving to be as exceptional as many of the Hohners from that era.

I think I got it in one of the Guru owned music shops in my neighborhood in Jamaica Queens. Once again not all HG's at that time appear to have been stamped with the month and year of production. After every sentance or two I have to get back at strumming for a few bars.
